Study on Theory of Separation Efficiency of Twin-spiral separator in a Grinding – Separation apatite Process ☆

Study on twin-spiral separator in a grinding – separation apatite Process was presented. The evaluation of separation efficiency of the solid – solid separator by gravity sedimentation such as settling tanks or by centrifugal such as cyclone, centrifuge equipments in chemical industry is necessary. This study shows a method to evaluate the separation performance of a separator using the theory of separation efficiency. The method has been applied to the twin-spiral separator in a grinding - separating process at Vietnam Apatite Mineral Processing Company. The result of this work could be used as engineering data for basic design and detail design in the industrial scale.
